Finally, Zen!

January 26th, 2007

I finally have my very own copy of The Zen of CSS Design by Dave Shea and Molly Holzshlag. I’ve been wanting this book ever since it was published a while back (the exact date escapes me), but it was at a time where I just couldn’t justify the cost of any more computer books. I was in a bad habit of buying books that looked interesting, getting on with the initial flip-through, then leaving them on the shelf after being distracted by more urgent matters. I didn’t want this to be one of those books, so I held off, figuring that

  1. I would be able to give it the attention it deserved at some point in the future and
  2. The price would come down slightly from $40

It turns out I was half-right; I don’t really have more time but I am more dedicated, and Amazon.com had it marked down to a more affordable level for my poor college budget. Note: Hastings had actually marked the book up to $45. Shame on you Hastings, no link for you.

I’m still working my way through CSS Mastery by Andy Budd in my spare time; it’s one heck of a great read.
